Christmas Tree storage crate

The cardboard box that our pre-lite Christmas Tree came in had seen better days. So I decided to build a crate to store it in. To keep it light I made outside frame with pine furring strips and lined it with luan paneling.

-- I'm Chuck and I wood not chuck wood cause I keep finding uses for it!

That’s really a good idea. Looks like a coffin for the tree tho

Its worth more than our tree! very nice, I stuff our small tree in a plastic foot locker, your crate has much more class! nicely done.

You might consider putting some scraps (or shavings ) of cedar in there. When you unpack it next year it’ll smell like Christmas!

Your shaming me into doing one also. The old wardrobe moving box (cardboard) is getting a pretty “used” look over the last 15 years.
