We purchased a Morris chair and rocker – the chairs seemed a bit above my skill level, but I decided I could build the foot stools. I built two – used red oak and stained it to match the aurora finish on the white oak chairs – thank you Homestead finishing for a recipe to combine stains for the proper look. The uphosterly was done by a professional – all in all the project cost less than a third of what it would have cost to purchase with the chairs and I had fun to boot!

Looks like you matched them up nicely. Bet no one would notice if you did not tell them they did not come with the set.
