I love bubble lights. they take me back to when my folks used to string them up along a counter in our home. My own kids find them fascinating.
The problem we’ve run into is what to do with them.
They don’t really bubble if they’re upside down, and the kids love to play with them, but they’re also REALLY fragile – so how do we display them without breaking them?
Here it is, our bubble light Christmas tree!
It’s just made of a piece of scrap 3/4 plywood for the tree and MDF for the base, painted green and white. I made the little brackets to hold each light out of some 1/2 ply, just glued and pinned to the tree. I had to take apart the lights to get them to fit through the tree so most of the wires could be out off sight, but these are really easy to disassemble and reassemble. I just drew it all freehand and cut it out on the band saw.
Thanks for looking, and Merry Christmas!
