Some time ago, Jay Bates shown us the way he sharpens chisels using a $9 set of Harbor Freight diamond sharpening plates. With the need to sharpen all of my chisels, I decided to make his jig and provide details how I made it.

I wouldn’t use them on my Benchmade knife or a set of Lie-Nielsen chisels, it works just fine for my purpose. I can pear away end-grain after 30 seconds of sharpening which is more than good enough for me.
