Made a couple of clocks for my daughters for Christmas. The wood is walnut cut from my farm. Finish is tung oil with a coat of lacquer.
Thanks for looking

Very nice – great design. Useful gifts are the best

Great looking clocks! I have never used the combination of Tung oil and lacquer. It”s good to know they work together. I always worry about compatibility of different finishes. Now I have another finishing option to try.

-- Linda - It's only a mistake if you do it twice!

The clock insert took a 3inch hole. 3/4 of an inch deep. over all width is 3 1/2 in.
Linda
I like the looks of tung oil on Walnut. I would like to try Danish oil sometime and see if there is a difference.
