Just another cypress project [at least to me] All, cypress. 5/4 framing and arms with 1×2 pieces for the seating area itself. I have been making these in 4’and 5’ lengths for a few months now and can cut and build this in about 3.5-4 hours start to finish. I have also designed this to fold down for shipping.

I just got done making 5 of these for the same person. One was made to have legs and look like bench.

I am a retired wood patternmaker who needed something to do. I have my own shop but started working in a shop that is owned by a lumber yard. The owner loves cypress and has me building projects like these (posted) for sale. After almost 30 years of not working in a shop, I am finally making them as fast as he expects them to be made. LOL

Almost like a real job, but in my case, P/T and when I feel like it and as long a day as I want. The best thing is that he has better tools than I have, so I use his tools to start a project and then bring them home to finish “my” projects.

Very nice Project indeed! Well done also.

Regards: Rick

PS: 8 Projects at once is a lot, and only 7 hours on here.

Perhaps you could provide some Construction/Materials/Size/Finish details with them. Otherwise, I doubt that you’ll get much, if any Feedback on them, as is the case with these 8.

650 Views is also a lot and only my Comment (With all due Respect)

Well, there is a method to my madness. I wanted to reach out to a member and when I signed up and tryed to PM him, a message came back that said, 1) I had to wait for my first post to be approved 2) then I had to have at least 5 posts before I could PM a member.

I will go back and fill it in the blanks.

Have your say...
