Quick Table

Project by fixit posted 389 days ago 426 views 0 times favorited 9 comments Add to Favorites Watch

These are pictures of a quick and easy table I build for my daughter and her husband when they decided a larger one was needed for their growing family. The legs are store bought and the top is a sheet of 3/4” plywood with prefinished hardwood flooring attached to it with adhesive. The edges are wrapped with red oak strips to hide the plywood and flooring edges.

Total cost for materials was approximately $250 (the legs and flooring were not cheap).

After I build this one my other daughter decided she wanted one too. So back to the store for more materials. The second table went together much faster than the first. I had learned from my mistakes on the first one!

I would’ve never thought about flooring for a table top, but why not? That looks great. What did you use for the textured apron?

brianinpa,

The apron is just a piece of pre-formed molding I picked up in HD or Lowe’s – can’t recall which. They both have several designs you can pick from.
