Scale made for my brothers kid. Made from Some old pieces of lath, some bamboo skewers, toothpicks, and some wood from an old kitchen table that someone was throwing out. The little round trays are my first attempt at any kind of lathe work. Just a cheapo $12 thing you hook up to a drill. Burned up my drill but I think it was a $12 thing from HF too so shrug.

Balance it by placing Identical items on each end & adjust to get it Straight across…

... from that point on, it is a Scale... Change Known weight vs Unknown until Straight Across… Total of Known Wt. is the Weight of the Unknown…

Just like the measured Gold & Silver, etc. way back when…

Looks COOL… A nice exercise! :)
