Clock for my sister's bathroom

Once again, something for my beautiful sister. Once again, this is exactly how she drew it up – the square frame with the rope trim and two matching little shelves.

It was my idea however, to use one of her floor and backsplash tiles as the clock face. Turned out pretty damn good if I say so myself! It was a bear to drill the hole for the clock mechanism though. The tiles are super heavy duty so if you drop something hard on the floor the tiles won’t break. I think they are 1/4” thick, or more.
I only broke one tile before I found the right speed for the drill bit and it was slow going.

And yes, it is an amazing bathroom… this is only the tub area – the shower enclosure is big enough for a sporting event. The TV is in a direct line with the throne…. my brother-in-law’s idea. Why? I have no idea!!!!!

Thanks guys.

LOL Doc! Actually I left out a lot of detail. I like my time in the bathroom, but this one is too much!
Crossword puzzles are good enough for me.

Cool clock. I like the idea of using the ties. Sounds like it will go well in that special bathroom.

That clock & shelves looks way to fancy for a bathroom but then a big TV is also a little over the top for my liking; well my darling would shoot me for even suggesting it…. The clock & shelves are good though….

Crowie, your sweetie wouldn’t like you in the bathroom all day maybe watching football?

Too fancy for me too, but the customer is always right! (especially when it’s your sister)

Nice job. I like how you used the tile for the face.

LOL Roger. Mine doesn’t either! Just a computer and woodworking books and some great books on knives and swords – my passion. Wait, I hate when people say passion…. so my favorite things.

Every time I’ve ever put a clock in a bathroom, it has died within 5 or 6 months. The steam gets inside the works and that’s all she wrote.

Nice looking clock!

JoeinGa, this one has been going for 2 years. The secret is magic – don’t tell anybody.
