My wife is an artist and has painted a beautiful painting for her mom. She asked me to make a frame for the picture. It needed to fit a 16” x 12” picture. I had some 8/4 Cherry in the shop, so I set out on doing just that. All of you, I’m sure have heard the saying ” if mama is happy, everybody’s happy”.
I put the spline in each corner for looks. They are made with wedge wood..

Stellar job on the frame, Duck…..Beautiful Cherry, and nice tight miters….Is that Purpleheart you used for the splines..? It’s kind of hard to tell….Or Walnut..? Keep ‘em coming, bud…..

Ashe,
Usually if you have a gap, you either are not true 45 or your not cutting square.
Thanks for the cuddos
