Nothing earth-shattering here, but I had the kiddos out in the garage helping make some new Christmas decorations.
Just Santas reindeer, I’m not sure which one is missing, but my son said it’s Dasher (at least, that’s what I remember him saying…), so I get to make one more sometime in the near future. Now my wife also wants a sleigh to go with it! What are my odds of getting another tool out of this?
Anyway, just some scrap 1/4”plywood (hahaha!! yeah, more like 3/16”, some cheap stuff that I can’t even remember why I bought it in the first place!) I had laying around. I stacked and taped the packets, then added some 23 gauge pins to hold the packets securely while I cut them out on the band saw (maybe I could get a scroll saw if I make enough puppy-dog faces to the wife about how hard it is to do on the band saw???)
Anyway, I found a template for the body online, I don’t really remember where, but that template had extra hip parts and all separate legs – which I didn’t want to try with the band saw! So I came up with some legs and antlers that I think are pretty decent and kind of round out the look I was going for. They’re just finished with craft paint that my wife had with her girly crafty stuff.
Anyway, now back to the garage to make Santas sleigh!
-- All this sawdust.......wait........ what happened to my board???
