Intarsia #3

This is intarsia #3, which will be a Christmas present for the nephew. Glad I got it finished, because it might be problematic to give one kid this type of present and not the other one.
The pattern for the piece is from Judy Gale Roberts studio, and this one is full size. Wood is Western Red Cedar and Peruvian Walnut for the dark pieces. I would have liked some more contrast between the upper wing pieces, they should have been slightly different colors. However, I am happy with the way it turned out overall.

Picture #1 is of the final piece just after the finish has been applied.
Picture #3 is of all of the pieces cut out and shaped but not yet glued down to the backer board.
