1st pic is the 1st board I ever made. I made it as a prize for a chili cook off at work. The 2nd one is the one I made after my wife got pissed that the 1st one wasn’t for her.

Getting exactly 60 degree cuts proved to be VERY challenging on my Ryobi portable contractor saw. Both boards caused me to so a lot of sanding of each individual piece. I was off as much as 0.5 degrees on some pieces. That led to an almost 3 degree gap when 6 points came together. Lots of elbow grease got the job done though.

Both are made from walnut, maple and cherry.

Good tools are a great help for sure but the proportions of design makes the art
