Shop has had a leak in the ceiling for a long time. I’ve tried several sealants without success so I recently decided to reroof it with metal roof and finally I’ve got a dry shop once again. I had to tear out and replace the insulation and plywood with water damage. Since I was having to do some major repairs I decided to just take out the garage door and wall it in. I bring sheet goods through the main door and haven’t opened the garage door in a long time. Since there wasn’t any plugs on this wall and I was rearranging the entire shop to us all the space, I figured wood storage would be the best option.
I found a video from wood whisperer watched it and downloaded the plans from his site and adapted it for my needs. Never had wood this organized before where I could get to everything. This is going to give me so much more working space. Wanted to get shop in order before I begin building my workbench. This just gave me a good start.

That is awesome that you not only gained all that wall space after sealing in the garage door, but probably cleared a lot of existing floor space in the process. Being one that is cramped for space, I can appreciate that.

Congratulations on getting the shop remodeled, the roof fixed, and implementing some of the things you did not have before.

The Wood Whisper would be proud. I made the lower storage bin after seeing his as well. Enjoy.
