I had a block of walnut laying around the shop and i had just finished watching a video of someone making a spoon online and i have always wanted to try making one. I drew some rough outlines on the block of the shape and the bowl size and i took a small gouge that i had and started carving. Once i got the bowl size the way i wanted i started sanding and sanding and sanding working my way through the grits. I finished it with Mineral oil. This was a pretty fun project to make, it was something that did not require much time and helps hone my carving skills.
