EverWood Tells a Story

....soul of a live tree,

heart color felt from within,

spirit as i am….

—by flp

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

Who lights the fire that burns from yonder tree…?”

Mine is the story of EverWood, who watches the paths of wooded lands, out here in the darkened alley-ways between dreams and night-mares….where some that come passing by are seen no-more. Such is the fate of those who walk along the evening twilight zones, where day passes into the darkness of a shadowy veil, along the lines and times of late October’s 31 moon at….HollowedWood.

.......................................................................and then….................................................................

....from the place and time of a land called HollowedWood,

i often heard the story told of one living tree called EverWood,

and from this non-taradiddle that inspired the likes of one such eye,

i be-gan to search the cavernous hollows of esoteric new england woods,

looking for this one who often claimed the terror of all left unexplained….

Materials used:

1.)—Wood; Pine….aged pine….

2.)—Type of Sculpture; Free Form Wood Sculpture

3.)—Tools; timber slick, lockback knife and camera….

4.)—Finish; natural character along with ageless patina and then some photo editing thrown in to arrive at priceless beauty….

5.)—I worked on this one, out in the woods of my milieu….

6.)—Place of Showing; at a living gallery in the woods….

7.)—Time to Finish; eternally aging before I ever arrived and so will be long after I am passed over….

8.)—Priced To Sale; ....but then again, this one owns my-self….

Thank you.

Very nice Frank!

I believe this one is a strong contender in the contest.

Frank, as always, your photography skills are wonderful. You have the ability to see the “inner beauty” of the wood- a talent that is gifted.

Thanks for sharing.

-- With God's help all things are possible- even woodworking. Woodworking is not just a hobby, it is an (expletive deleted) expensive hobby.

Have’nt listened to Tull for years, saw him in Lansing at the Civic Center in 1970. He was great. MG how time flys, this is just an awesome blog Frank, only you could do it this good. I applaud you again. You’re the man.
