Thank goodness for Christmas because it gives me the excuse to make things for some of the people I love most in the world. This box is being given to my 12 year old granddaughter. I also plan on filling it up with pendants I have scrolled. It is made from maple and cherry with walnut splines.

She will cherrish it forever it’s a beautiful gift made with care by Grandpa which gives it that extra special meaning .

That is a very pretty design. Well done for sure. I’d suggest you sign it in some inconspicuous place with something like “Made by Grandpa and the date” She will cherish it for ever and pass it to the next generation.
