We have been wanting to put in hardwood for years. I received 500 bft of 8/4 rustic walnut as payment for my elbow grease. After resawing and bookmarking. I ended up with boards that ranged in width for 10 to 15 inches planed to 11/16. Using finish grabber screws to face screw it down i glued all the boards as I went. No glue between the walnut and sub floor just a vapor barrier. All the knots where filled with clear epoxy. Floor was then sanded and finished using oil modified polyurethane.

Looks great. How’s that oil modified stuff to work with? Odor? Need to do some repairs to my wood floors and the wife hates the fumes. She would probably move out if I used regular oil based stuff.
