This is a maple pith to pith HF. After hollowing I sprayed the interior black then cut the leopard design with a high speed dental drill. Being end grain and pith to pith the grain shows up as rings going up the vase and at the top you can see a bit of the heart wood that surrounds the pith.

I was going to say WOW then I decided to look at the rest of your projects and ran completely outa “WOW’s”. this one is amazing just like the rest of your posted items. You are very good!

You are a man of many talents Tom. Your turnings are superb but I do hope you haven’t forgotten about marquetry. Your boxes are also a treat for the eyes.
