Thanksgiving Napkin Holder

Something different for the Thanksgiving dinner table … the ‘drumstick’ is a hard maple offset turning, while the back and base are birdseye maple.

I can’t take credit for the idea … this project was the brainchild of Tim Yoder, featured a few weeks ago on Popular Woodworking’s YouTube channel ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wy-Dq2aE278 ).

I saw the video. I like yours better, sorry Tim. The acorns are a nice touch.

I agree with Hairy like yours better and acorns just makes the presentation over the top!

Thanks! Full disclosure: The acorns and pine cones were SWMBO’s idea … she has a very artistic touch (you should see her quilts, runners, wall hangings, etc.).

Stellar job on the napkin holder, Gerry…..I am planning to make the same thing for family members for Christmas…..I need to make one for us, as ours is wore out…..You know how that goes….It’s like the mechanic who works on everyone elese’s cars, except his own…...

-- Here in the South, we say "down the road a piece"...and , "it's over yonder".....!!
