I had one more room to remodel in my house before we planned on putting it on the market. The master bathroom was slated to get remodeled as soon as I got the vanity done. I finished this project over the course of a few months in between a bunch of other projects. I don’t know if I would call it enjoyable but I think it turned out GREAT!

Awesome job, Ty! What did you use as a finish, is the a faux glaze on there as well? Also, I have a question about the 3 small raised panels across the top. I’ve never worked with a small piece like that and I was curious if it was difficult with such a small amount of raised surface to ride on.

Thanks ,

Anthony

Thanks Fiddy! I Sprayed on two coats of primer, & two coats of latex paint. I did a chocolate colored glaze and then sprayed the whole thing with two coats of shellac.

Routing the small raised panels were a little tricky because they were trying to rock but they weren’t too difficult to keep steady. The hardest pieces where the two small separators in between three raised panels. I must have made 6 of those pieces to get the two that worked.. They are just so small, awkward and difficult to route all 4 edges of something that small.

Thanks,
Ty

Thanks Ty, one last question. What color is that base coat of latex paint? Sorry for the detailed request, it’s just that I’ve wanted to create a project with that look and lucky for me you’ve already done it!

Thanks Ty, enjoy your Sunday!

It’s HomeDepot’s Behr brand paint called creamy mushroom.
