what a beautiful piece of walnut, and you have lured me into this trap john….i see the dust pan there and the the looks of some real clean up….yep i know its s sure fired trap…lol…i’ve got some walnut that is a project waiting to happen, and i’m going to start on it very soon, its got some beautiful figure to it, its a good 2 inches thick and if i can get a sawyer to resaw it , then i would make an amour out of it and let the walnut show itself off for many years to come, like hundreds of years…

Have you had any trouble with the legs splaying on this design? Its a beautiful piece, and i definitely like the look without a stretcher….

never had that issue. the miter also has a loose tenon that reinforces the joint
