Our dogs always seem to want to be higher up than just being on the floor. I got some pine boards and some leftover MDF to make a dog bed platform for them. The front I cut out so they could get in easier being they are fairly small dogs. I also like to paint things black if you can’t tell from the pictures. I did a build video for it as well if anyone is interested. https://nickferry.com/2014/11/diy-dog-bed/

Simple, elegant, and useful. Nice job. I have a little dog also, I know what you mean about being up higher.
Good job and thanks for sharing.

Thanks Jim, I always wondered what their perspective on life is from so low to the ground. I’d try and crawl around that low but who knows if I’d make it back up, haha

I bet those would sell like hot cakes at a craft show…..the dog bed, not the dogs.

Thanks Jay, I’ve never done a craft show, but I would think they would sell pretty nicely.

What size would this need to be for my Daughters Rottweiler.

I’m not exactly certain, my tape measure doesn’t go to “a whole lot bigger”, lol.
