Hi fellow LJ’s,
It’s been a while since I last posted a project. Here’s a desk I’ve just completed and is a twist on my previous “Seksing Sekretarya” I wanted to see how the piece would look with sculpted drawers. Your comments will be helpful for future desks which I am hoping to build.

Top is made from Balayong. Drawers are molave, legs are ipil, Stretchers are molave and dungon Thank you and have a nice day!

well i will say again here as i did on facebook, this is a beautiful piece, and i could look at it for hours, in fact i think you should use the floorboards for more pieces of furniture, i just love the legs on this one, it still amazes me that this wood is all salvaged…i would love to be able to reclaim such timbers here, the one wood i reclaimed is the southern yellow heart pine, a tree that is not harvested anymore, for a pine it is beautiful wood, harder then oak and to me so beautiful, i think we need to be happy with what we have where we live, i know i am…but this piece benji is a masterpiece to me….A+ A+ A+....:)

Good to see you haven’t forgotten how to make furniture. LOL!

The integration of the movement of the top with the sides is definitely Benji Reyes! Cannot see the sides . Is it open or closed.

The feel of the piece is like sitting beside the local waterfall. Calming, yet moving at the same time.

It’s like what Grizz ( Bob) said “I can look at it for hours.”

The carved drawers set the piece off beautifully Benji. It is a very beautiful piece and those legs are just astounding with all the different curves. You are a very gifted designer and craftsman and I appreciate you posting your work here for our enjoyment.
