Project Information
I have built a few of these type speakers for fun. This is for my wife's new phone she wanted it for her desk at work so I decided I wanted to get a little creative and take it a step up. I have been having fun with stacked plywood projects lately and decided to use some for this project. The neat thing about using plywood is you can kinda pre shape things as you glue it together to save on all the machining.
The speakers are conical shaped and the ports were sealed with poly to help the sound bounce instead of being absorbed into the wood as much. It is definitely louder but the quality is only as good as the sound coming out of the phone.
In making these in the past I find that you almost have to build them phone specific to line up the speaker to the entry port .
