I wanted to put something together for us guys for a change. I had some Lace Wood in the shop so I made this box out of it. Complimented with the Walnut tray, I was happy on how it turned out.

Hey Duck,.... Stellar job on the box…Really nice…I admire someone like you that can make a box look that good…I especially like the drawer with the loot in it….As always, a great project….Keep up the good work…..

Great valet/box. I like the flocking, gives it a regal feel, and a drawer with a miter corner? well how cool is that??
Looks like you finished with poly … did you use an oil undercoat??

Thanks Rick. I envy you and your sled making. I just can’t get them right on, so I quit trying.

Grumpy, thanks for the compliment. No I use a sealer and lacquer. I’m actually going to put up an evaluation of the two today. Good stuff. I polish it out with a good polish, which I’m also going to put up.

Hey Duck,....Anyone can build a sled…They are not hard to do…...But not everyone can build boxes like you do…Besides, I build other things other than some sleds…My reach goes beyond that, like building furniture, etc. If I tried to build a box, it would be one you would have to stand on to reach that cookie in the jar on top of the frig…...

Beautifully also the texture of a tree is adequately emphasized. Coins reminded me, of my hobby. I collect metal coins of the world. Time isn’t enough in this life. Good luck.
