As a scoutmaster you get to spend a lot of time dealing with wood.. Every once in while i find a piece of wood that’s too good to throw in the fire.
some time ago i found a piece of birch with a nice grain structure. So while evaluating the days events i started wittling. With my Opinel carbon folding knife and this other little tool i always keep in my uniform, i made it into this little teaspoon.
I modeled it after an old teaspoon from my grandmothers house. It had booth the curve in the back and the arch in the handle..
So all in all, quick simple and fun to make. No oil and no sanding.
