I build these wine racks from wood from my wife’s grandpas barn an railroad spikes. I like how it came out.

Did you just nail the spike in?? Nice tribute to your wife’s Grandpa.

No I cut the ends off of the spikes and welded some lag bolts to them and just screwed them in. I’m planning on building a wine glass holder the same way as soon as I get the time.

I don’t know how to weld so that won’t be an option for me. I’m thinking cut them to size and then drill and tap them.
