Inspired by these plans:
The wife wanted to put the now-unused crib mattress to use, and I get to make sawdust. Win<>Win. I’m too much of a cheap bastard to shell out home center prices for 3 sheets of sanded 3/4” ply, so I modified the plans to use only 2 sheets, and I sanded the less quality stuff myself. Also of note, when I was squaring up the material for the face frame, I had my first and hopefully last tablesaw injury. Just nicked the tip of my left index finger. Uncool. Word of advice, if you feel your attention wander, just for a second, stop the damn saw and breathe for a few seconds. Think.
The unpainted picture shows you the basic assembly. We finished the unit in high gloss white. We’ll get some storage baskets in due time.
