Coffee table of black ash. I used 1&1/2” stock, with the table top being glued and biscuited , and the legs were three pieces each the same thickness as the top. stock cut at 22.5 degrees and half lapped. Finished with early American minwax oil based stain and six coats of laquer sanded to 2000 grit and rubbed out with pumice and tripoli. Just a wax buffing left to do.

Cool design! Not familiar with black ash.
Question: is it stable with no stringers between the legs?

The stringers were added to beef up the lateral stability. I could have went without but was worried about breakage if someone like a child was to give it a hard jarring, my grandson loves to push furniture around so I went with the stronger option.

Black ash is local to northern ontario, it grows in moderately sandy wet conditions in small stands. It’s difficult to get large trees
