I needed to make a better dust shoe for my CNC router. I decided that the best way would be to make a vacuum formed plastic shoe, shown in the first photo. I didn’t have a vacuum former but I had already made a downdraft table from plans in an issue of Wood magazine. I found tips on vacuum forming on various web sites that I located with Google. The other photos show the mold and steps in forming the dust shoe.

Being as I own a vacuum former, I am wondering how you heat the plastic?

Nice idea.
