I recently got a request for a carved leg. I think they lost one and needed someone to carve another. They sent the original and I had to duplicate it. I couldn’t see it through the tracing paper so I dusted the original with baby powder and then I could see the outline. then it was easy to transfer it to the wood. I’m not much of a carver and I suppose thats why it took me 20 hour’s to carve it. I guess I went slow so’s not to make a big mistake and have to start over again. I charged them 400 bucks, but if I were to do any more it would be a lot more!It was fun at first but I soon got tired of doing it.I think I’ll stick to TURNING!
