This was one of my more stressful projects. My uncle gave me 2 pieces of walnut that were once my grandfathers and asked my to make his wife a sofa table. There was 2 criteria first had to leave the live edges, second it had to have rainfall grain in it. I don’t consider myself a artist but this is what I came up with. The last picture shows the material I started with. The only piece in the whole project that came from somewhere is the back support apron, and I don’t have a picture of backside (sorry). My uncle said he would finish it with probably just a sealant of some kind that way not to hide the grain of the walnut. Thanks for looking, and as always comments are greatly appreciated.
