This is my first attempt at a bandsaw box. It turned out better than I expected, but a few mistakes were made. The glue lines were more visible than I’d hoped and I neglected to saw the back side of the drawer off prior to cutting out the actual drawer (see the maple I had to glue in place to cover the back of the drawer in the 2nd pic). I’m confident the next few tries will come out cleaner.

You did a great job on your first BS box. You can always add flock to the inside hiding the different colored wood, and small thin strips glued to the bottom of the drawer area will help to align the opening that shows where the drawer was cut.

Very nice job. I also recently got into making these boxes. When my wife came into the room and saw yours on the screen she said that it was beautiful. I told her I thought so too and I planned on making one. She then said why are you just sitting there then, get out into the shop.
