We needed a deck box to keep all the kid’s toys in and keep some of the clutter out of the garage. I had a lot of thin birch T&G left over from my fishhouse upgrade and was able to find some Hickory door jambs at the shop. I used a spanish oak stain and a coat of water seal to finish it. My wife liked it enough that it may stay in the garage instead of outdoors in the Minnesota winter.

It deserves a nice warm spot in the house in my opinion! Solid clutter catcher.

That has a really great look the different types of wood really work together and make it interesting.
