Went a little crazy making these pallet coasters… Wanted to use up most of the scraps that have been piling up in the shop. Total of 10 different types

1. Maple
2. Cherry
3. Walnut
4. Pine
5. Oak
6. Pinoak
7. Plywood
8. Winerack #1
9. Winerack #2
10. Winerack #3

I’m all pallet-coastered out. Will be finding another way to use scrap wood next time.

These look very nice but honestly I never really understood this design unless they are non functional and for looks only as the purpose of a coaster is to contain the moisture and protect the furniture.

Looks like a great rendition of a Steve Ramsey project. I made a few last year but they did not look nearly as polished as yours. Very nice!

Blackie_ – I would say these fall into the mostly decorative category. Though they do effectively keep condensation from ice cold drinks off furniture

I might make some of those this weekend. Made 5 coasters last night out of old growth western red cedar scraps laying around in my woodshop. Might do “Pallet Style”next.
