This was a project that allowed me to experiment and learn the method of routing cathedral doors. Purple heart is used to add a touch of color and pizazz. Hand scraped the doors as the panels were too big to put through my planer. Brazilian rosewood edge trims the shelves. Whenever possible I try to use only quartersawn oak for frame pieces as it has the tendency to be more stable and looks great as well.

This is a really nice entertainment center. I like the purpleheart accents that you included in the piece. They add a nice detail to the appearance of the project.

Very nice.

Very beautiful entertaining centre. I like the finish.
I like the pocket doors too. Are they easy to install?

Thanks for the post.

hsb – you’ve done a great job on this entertainment unit. Like the other comments…I like the extra touch using purpleheart for contrast.

Thanks for posting it.
