Every year, we cover my mother in law’s wall air conditioner with plastic to keep out the winter chill. The duct tape adds a nice look, but I decided to try something different. Using cherry left over from old projects, I made a cover that looks a little better than the plastic version. i also attached weather-stripping to the back, so it should seal ok. Finished with shellac and wax.

Thanks Serge – it’s fun to use up scraps to make something functional

What a great idea and no duct tape. Well done!
