Made this cradle for my Grand kids. I used Ash and stained it with minwax gun stock. Made templates out of hardboard which made routing the edges much easier. Finished it with 2 coats of polyurethane. Almost forgot I started with a coat of sanding sealer. I have another Grand Daughter due in January.

Jim, I too have a grand child on the way and would love to build one of these. Any chance you have drawings? Dimensions, etc.?

When I started this project I found out that several sets of plans for cradles do not fit a standard size cradle mattress. I modified the drawings so a standard size would fit.
