Desktop Music Stand

This is a desktop music stand I built on request from a family member. She wanted something that would hold her sheet music or book while playing the violin. It’s made from tiger wood. In retrospect, I might not have used that wood since a great deal of the woods markings are cut away. The back rests in an angled dado slot, so that it collapses for storage.

Thanks! It was for my mother-in-law, which left very little room for error, LOL. Just kidding. She’s very happy with it.

Looks great!

Maybe you should have found out what wood species she was allergic to. <eg>

That’s very nice. I like the idea for a desktop model. It would look great on an 8’ Steinway grand!

Joe – beautiful work. Did you make the design yourself? The proportions are very nicely balanced.
