After thumbing through some old issues of Wood Magazine I found this pattern and thought I would give it a try. I think it came out very well. So did my wife. She said she was keeping it and if someone else wanted one I would have to make more. Made entirely from recycled wood thaqt I drag home from anywhere I find it so I really have no idea what kind it is but I like the way it looks.

Very nice box. Whatever the wood is they go together very nicely. I’d say the bottom is oak. Top could be cherry, maple or ?

I’m not surprised your wife wanted to keep this! Beautiful project.
