Biggest, deepest thing I have turned so far. diameter on the inside is about 5”, outside is about 5.5”. The depth of the bowl is also right around 5” deep. It is almost 9” tall. There are some rough spots on there, but I attribute it more to the poor quality wood than anything else; my tools were sharp as a dang razor, the wood just kind of kept flaking away. OH WELL! ANOTHER LEARNING EXPERIENCE, RIGHT??

A cool story for this one; my apt complex is being remodeled and one of the workers was taking an interest in my garage/shop and all the noise I was making. He really liked the bowl so I gave it to him. The guy spoke barely a word of English, but with my rudimentary Spanish and his broken English I found out he wanted to plant some flowers in it and give it to his wife. The only serious part was when I said “NO BEBER! NO COMER NADA!!!!!!!!” (the sealer isn’t mouth safe, so to speak).

Nice looking thingy! That’s a great story, too. Keep up the good work. I haven’t turned anything that deep yet. Your work looks mighty fine.

I agree with MedicineMan…..It is also a great story!!!!!!!

Very nice Bowl Evan!!!! Well Turned and Well made!!!!! That is a fair size too and would have needed care and attention to detail to hollow the bowl. Nice shape and I like the foot. What sort of wood is it?
