Another elk antler coyote call.
The mouthpiece is made from osage orange given to me by one of my co-workers.
This is the first time I have worked with osage orange, it is really nice to turn, it machines so well that I was able to get such a smooth finish with my carbide tools that I started sanding with 320 grit.
The only downside is that my shop looks like Big Bird exploded in there.
Finish is Deft spray lacquer, buffed out with steel wool.

Do you buy the reed kits or do you make everything completely from scratch? I would like to learn this for fun and try it when hunting.
