Adorable! Have to ask how he got his name.

Think you have to call him ‘Shaves’ from now…

Reminds me when I was young our black lab used to lay under the planner and get covered like that.

My white Border Collie, Merlin, love to sleep on a pile of shaving at the end of the planer. Wife insists I blow him off with the compressor before he can come in the house. If not he track a mountain of shavings in the house and heads right of Kathy’s recliner to sleep and shake off the wood. And he love the blow job, kinda like riding in the car with his head out the window.

Since we have a kennel with tons of dogs and cats, during the day I will have several different dogs stroll into the shop, and each one has a different place to lay. In you picture is that a wood style stove your dog lay close to?

Thanks for the comments all…here’s some answers

He got his name in Okinawa when I was stationed there, my kids were young and it was cool to say “ah Brick’ when you screwed up at the time…since he was a puppy and into eating carpets and shoes seemed to match perfect for him!

yea that is a wood stove burn a lot of scarp there to cut down on the garbage bills…he never lays in front of it, prefers the Kerosene heater in the office (since he can get closer to it)

Must say to all a dog in the shop is worth their weight in gold….keeps it interesting and fun! Plus, there is always someone to complain to and they listen!

Oh, by the way that paper in the front is remnants of a fedex package…..for what ever reason he had to “open” it before me

Aw! so lucky to have a shop buddy :) My two are scared of loud noises so they won’t come anywhere close. They come to the door and look in occasionally when they’re out. Lily tries to steal anything on the floor so I have to be careful what is left around when she can come in.

I love having my beagle in the shop with me, but she sniffs EVERYTHING and gets saw dust in her nose. First, it can’t be healthy for her (as it’s not for us) and second she starts sneezing constantly from it.

I had a dog that would curl up under the band saw, the sound never bothered him. If we like the smell of wood imagine what they smell in the shop. ahhhhh.
