This is a table out of Fine Woodworking, Nov./Dec. 2004 issue. I’ve just always liked this table and finally got around to getting it made. Built out of cherry. Finish is amber shellac with black dye stain over that and rubbed off.

That’s really nice work and the finish is fantastic. Would love more detail on the dye stain you used so I could give it a try.
