Quick Easy Handplane Till

I’ve been up to a much needed cleaning and organizing in my shop, I had my ever growing collection of hand planes and other junk just laying around all over my shop. I finally decided that today I’ve officially had enough with my hand planes all over the place.

I did a quick search on the web to find a quick and easy solution to my problem. So this is what I came up with. Since I constructed this out of some very cheap low grade plywood and did not feel like sanding and painting, I just through some white felt on it. This Till has a bunch of room on it for more hand planes which I know I’ll be adding to my collection soon enough since I’m addicted to restoring and using them. On the side I cut out a rather large opening to take advantage of the space behind the till, in here I have loads more hand tools and some small hand planes.

I wasn’t going to post this as it isn’t one of my ’’nicer’’ projects but, I figured there may be one or two people out there who may be interested in this.

Thanks for looking! As usual all comments are welcome.

S-115, I for one am glad you posted it. I like what you have done and although I do not have any felt I do have scrap plywood that needs to be used up and a real need for more organization. Ideas are always welcomed.
