1st Post.

This is my first attempt at a deck cooler. I didn’t have any plans and I’m a beginning woodworker, so there was plenty of trial and error on this project. I work for a hardwood manufacturer/distributor and they’ve graciously allowed me access to their shop and whatever lumber’s lying around. I framed it up with old ballister stock and used flooring for the sides and lid. It’s made mostly of Hickory…so it got much heavier than I expected. I may need to replace the wheels with something a little tougher. I’ve since put a coat of water sealer on it which gave it a little shine.

Once I find a home for this one I’ll hopefully be able to improve on the next with all the lessons learned.

Looks good. I would love to have access to scraps like that.

Looks great! Much nicer than the version I made a couple years ago. I may just have to make another based on your version. Love the fact it has wheels.

That would look nice on my deck, filled with cold beer of course. Great job.
