My first attempt at building a cabinet. It has some boo-boo’s here and there but I bet it’s better than a store bought. Made of solid spruce and it’s glued and screwed.

Glen, Looks Good. what type of storage cabinet is it? Did you use any Dados? Throw a few more pics of the wood grain and finish. Looks like it has some character to it…

My wife needed more storage in the kitchen so that’s what I built it for. I did dado for the shelves and I was wanting it to look some what rustic and that’s why I cut some 1X2 spruce to go around the edges of it. It has as you can see, A lot of knots in the wood which my wife loves and I finished it off with 6 coats of MinWax Polyurethane.

Glen, everybody’s stuff has boo boo’s, even the pro’s. The only difference is, that with experience one learns to hide them better, lol. I like it a lot, it reminds me of the cabinets in a log cabin I stay in every summer when I go fishing.

I really appreciate all of the good comments from everybody. Crossfacecraddle, That’s exactly what I was going for. Kind of old look. I’m trying to build a sled for my table saw now. Maybe my cuts will be a little more accurate in the future. Thanks again for the comments.
