A record for me. This is the first time I’ve started and finished a project in one day. It’s a cutting board like one found in the kitchen of Delsbogarden at Skansen Sweden. It’s finished with Danish oil from Tried and True. I found the design in “Making Swedish Country Furniture & Household Things” by Keijser, Sjoberg, and Willick.

Congratulations, Matt!! I can so identify with the ‘record’ thing. Is the wood bird’s eye pine? Nice little cutting board. Thanks for sharing.

CFrye, yes, it’s “birds eye” pine. I saw it in the lumber rack at Lowes and couldn’t pass the board up. I never knew such wood existed outside of maple. Bigfootphil, I believe you could drink all three of the finishes from Tried and True. The only thing you will find in them is flax seed, beeswax or tree sap. There are no petroleum solvent or metallic driers.
