Dipping Ramekin Serving Platter Made From English Olive Ash.
Customer asked if I could make one holding 6 Round Ramekins
as they had seen one over in Turkey in a resturante !
Well sure but it will have Square- ish Ramekins in a pair holding 3 each…. !.
Useing two boards of Ash cut out useing a scroll saw and laminated together with tight bond 3 and 6mm dowels.
All edges had a bit of work with my palm router.
Sanded right down and finished with 0000 steelwool and a good bit of Tung Oil.
Tomorrow will give the a polish with beeswax.
These boards are 15 inch across X 5 inch.
Thank you for checking out my project.
BazzA.

What a great idea! Those bowls are available real cheap at the discount stores, of course I might have to use maple or oak instead of Ash (my county is under a quarantine for Ash because of the Emerald Ash Borer).
Thanks for sharing.

Tha Ash works well but really and grained wood will look good for this. Also Walnut or Curly Maple would look nice.
